Kart Racing in Chiang Mai Thailand

Go-kart racing or karting is a form of motor sport racing using an little open, four-wheeled vehicle called a kart, or as some know it, a go-kart.

Some think that go carts are only for fun but these small vehicles can be raced on a mini race track or circuit. Karting can be used as the stepping stone to the higher ranks of motor sport racing. Many famous professional motor sport drivers started their careers in kart racing.
Karts vary in their high end speed but some Karts can reach top speeds of 260 kilometers per hour or 160 mph. Go-karts that are driven in amusement parks may be limited to speeds of 25 kilometers per hour or 16 mph. Larger sized karts with somewhere between 100cc-125cc engines can reach about 125 kilometers per hour or about 78 mph.

These 125cc, 2 stroke karts can reach speeds from 0-60 in about 4 seconds and drivers can experience 3-4 g’s through the corners of the circuit.
Karting is available in many cities in Thailand including Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai. Join me while I go talk to the owner of Chiang Mai Speedkart and I take some laps around their circuit. Check them out if you are in Chiang Mai or get more info on their Facebook page Chiangmai Speedkart.
