The reason I say that is because you can eat cheap in Thailand if you choose to eat Thai food like the Thai people do. But if you choose to eat as a foreigner living in Thailand then food costs and prices can increase dramatically. Your average daily food costs will soar.
So the question is, is it still cheap and are there options for eating food in Thailand that’s still inexpensive for a RIPper? The answer is, if you choose to retire in Thailand and you have a fixed monthly budget to adhere to that’s less than US$1000 a month you’re going to have to eat Thai street food for some of your meals. That way you can bring down your average daily food costs in Thailand.
