Undoubtedly as we age we will notice changes in our bodies. Some are natural but some aren’t. I have a belief that you should kill the monster while it is still a baby!
That is, that if you deal with the small problems quickly they will not turn into big problems. Back in the States, I really shied away from going to a doctor for checkups or for what I thought was a small problem. Not just because of the expense, which was huge, but because of the time and hassle and lack of attention. I just didn’t feel that my needs where being taken care of. But since I moved to Asia especially Thailand, I regularly will go get a test or see a doctor just to put my mind at ease. The doctor will spend time with me, the tests are cheap and the medicine is affordable. Here take a look.
An increasing number of Americans are not filling prescriptions for their medications because they can’t afford to, according to a new survey from Consumer Reports.
Results show that 45 percent of people under age 65 who don’t have insurance coverage for prescriptions said they had not filled a prescription in the last year because of the cost. Last year, 27 percent of this group said the same.
For people who regularly take a prescription medication, their medical bills and medication bills, when they have financial problems, those are their No. 1 problem.
